Imperfectly Human™ | Athlete Identity & Life After Sport
Imperfectly Human™ is the podcast that explores the human being behind the athlete.
Hosted by athlete identity coach, performance coach, and therapist Rachel Blogg, this podcast helps current and former athletes navigate the mental side of sport—from performance pressure and confidence to injury, retirement, identity, and life after sport.
Each episode features honest conversations with athletes, coaches, sports professionals, and experts about the challenges that don't show up on the highlight reel. Together, we explore athlete identity, mental performance, sports psychology, resilience, confidence, and the transition beyond competition.
Whether you're competing at a high level, recovering from an injury, adjusting to retirement, or trying to rediscover your purpose after sport, you'll gain practical tools and real conversations to help you move forward with confidence.
Because your performance is something you do, not who you are.

In this episode, Rachel discusses (and challenges the voice in her head that she hears doubting her ability to create a video podcast) how it's necessary to listen to the voices in your head, and don't let them control you. We all have our own inner dialogue, and it's important to recognize and understand it. The voices in our head are actually our own voices. People tend to listen to the voices that are negative, puts them down and judges them rather than listen to the voice that may lead them to doing what's effective. Remember that you are in control, and you have the power to choose which voice to listen to. Trust your intuition, be kind to yourself, and more importantly, embrace your perfectly imperfect self. Hope you enjoy!

Do you wish that you had done something different in the past and can't move on from trying to change "it"? Are you holding grudges or resentments towards someone because they hurt you? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then this episode is for you! Enjoy and if you weren't so thrilled with it, then you can radically accept that you listened to something for 12 minutes and 13 seconds....either way, you might take something away from it!
